Classes

Gauge & Blocking Workshop

When and why is gauge important?  How do I measure gauge correctly? How does blocking affect my project?  How does my fiber, needles, knitting style or stress level affect my results? How do I ensure my project will fit? Learn how a 1/4 stitch can make or break your project, and how changing needle sizes will impact your fabric.  Class will include a complete blocking demonstration.

Homework:
Cast on 30 stitches with any yarn, any needles (great time to work a swatch for an upcoming project!!!) and work in stockinette stitch for 5 inches. Bind off.
Bring your swatch, note taking materials and a ruler or tape measure.
